Rosalind Flynn
Dr. Rosalind Flynn is the head of the Master of Arts in Theatre Education (MATE) degree program at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She completed her dissertation on the use of drama as a learning method and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. She is the author of three books on the educational uses of drama—A Dramatic Approach to Reading Comprehension (coauthor Lenore Blank Kelner), Dramatizing the Content With Curriculum-Based Readers Theatre, and Tableau Classroom Drama Activities. She is also an educational drama consultant whose national touring workshops for teachers were developed in collaboration with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Since 1994, she has conducted arts integration workshops—in person and online—for students, Project Narrative: Arts Integration Institute teachers, and artists from 43 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Shanghai, China.
